Things I learned playing in ten rock bands

I played the guitar in one rock band and bass in nine more. Here's what I learned.

  • I should have learned drums instead.
  • Musicians are not always reliable. Mostly not.
  • If you get intoxicated and forget all the new material until the next rehearsal you may be fun, but you're not useful.
  • The more girls are in a band the more fun it is.
  • It's not a job, but it's way more fun than working one.
  • A bass has only four strings so it's much easier to play than a guitar (six strings).
