Full backup/sync for Gajim

I use Gajim for Jabber chats with OMEMO on several machines. OMEMO keys are supposed to be per device, but I don't agree with that.

By having a different key on each device, everybody I communicate with is forced to trust all the keys, which is cumbersome. I don't want everybody to know how many devices I use anyway, and I also want all Gajim instances to be in sync. So I backup/sync the following directories between all machines:

  • ~/.cache/gajim
  • ~/.config/gajim
  • ~/.local/share/gajim
